Introduction to Criminal Justice is designed to expose students to the occupations within the criminal justice system. Students will examine the criminal justice system through the study of laws of evidence, techniques of investigation, report writing, and courtroom procedures. Writing skills, oral communication skills, positive attitudes, and presentation skills related to law enforcement will be emphasized. Many of the performance objectives align with California’s Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requirements. Students will be exposed to the wide array of employment opportunities within the public safety service arena.
