Retail Sales & Marketing (a.k.a. Retail Careers)

Students gain experience in a variety of areas related to retail careers.

Students learn the importance of merchandising, inventory control and turnover, shipping and receiving, stocking, sales and marketing, customer service, cashiering skills, and security operations. 

Retail Careers trains students in retail operations, sales and marketing, shipping, receiving, customer service, and visual display.  Students learn how to interact with customers to promote sales, process payments and returns, pricing and use of point of sale devices. In addition, students will learn about trends and cycles, and the seasonality of merchandise. They will develop visual displays, conduct demonstration techniques including product usage.
